I'd pull the carpet out and spark plugs, and change the fluids and dry it out.
It`s not totalled. It will be sold to some unknowing sucker wanting a good deal.Only CarFax will know.I hope someone checks it.

Yeah, that`s a tale that`ll come up the rest of your life.File it under "Best Bloopers".

It isn't the wet mechanicals that makes it junk. It is the wet interior on top of all of the wet mechanicals that make it junk.

They take flood vehicles up here all the time in the winter and sell them to people at what appears to be a good price. Then one day it warms up and they get a wiff of the once waterlogged interior.

Trust me. That truck is junk.

That is freaking hilarious.

I wish I could have seen your face in slow motion waiting for the impending water landing!

In the event of a water landing, your seat cushions may be used as flotation devices.

Are you going to be able to get your accessories off? If the insurance isn't going to pay for that, they most likely didn't include those in determining your amount....so they have no 'claim' to make you leave them on there. Or at least that is what I have seen here in Mississippi. Folks showing up at the junk yard as the wrecker delivers them to get their stuff back off...for free.

Hey, two shop fans and a case of Fabreeze and you would be ready to roll.

Re: the ultimate dumba#@ move by me

it had a cold air intake on it, open element. took about ten seconds to get it under and suck into engine and it shut down FAST. i'm sure it at least had bent valves or something. as said before, i think it wouldv'e been a nightmare. lift was a pain to put on, and you at least have to leave it rolling for the insurance company , and selling it as used would bring me about as much money for my time swapping it all back out, so i left it on.

Be glad the insurance company is willing to cover that loss - there are a few companies that would try to deny that claim under an intentional act exclusion.

What a story to tell!

I'm sorry about your loss of your truck..but that is just way to funny!...

Did you at least catch anything?...would have been funny if when your ins. guy opened the glove box..and fish came out...

Hey, at least you've got one heck of a story, and pictures to back it up, when someone says "no way"!

Re: the ultimate dumba#@ move by me

That is a "whoops" picture for Four Wheeler mag if I ever saw one. I'm glad you got a sense of humor about it. It sucks to loose the truck, but it's good you aren't killing somebody for it out of anger.

Let me get this straight, you buddy got out before you attempted the run up the dam? Did he watch from below or climb up the dam (and notice the water)to see you come up it? I'm betting he was below the dam because your still here to write the story....

Still that had to be like a scene from dukes of hazzard with that truck flying into the pond. If I was better at photo-chopping we could have a hazzard county sheriff badge on the door and some lights on the roof! Way to go Rosco!

Re: the ultimate dumba#@ move by me

thats why i drop or bag my rides. next time mount a camera on the hood pointing at your face.

2006 gmc z71--$37,000
6" lift and 35's--$2000
the look on your face when you realize your favorite mudhole has 6 feet of water in it and that the 35's wont help you float--priceless.

oh and if i ever get in a situation like that i will use the onstar just so i can post what they say. sorry about the truck.

Re: the ultimate dumba#@ move by me

one thing i just thought of is now you can watch on tv and movies when they jump into water and know what its like and comment on what they did wrong or how thats not true and all that

does make a good story to tell though and a good story is hard to beat
