questions ??????

ok i am workin on swaping out the rear on my blazer was a 12 bolt now its going to a 14 bolt . i know i need to move the spring perches in a little bit. i was wondering what is the easiest way to make shure the axle is centerd between the two spings and to the vehicle ????? i dont want to weld the spring mounts to the axle and find out the axle is off center or sticking way out on one side and too far in on the other . plus i also need to make shure i have the axle at a good pinion angle what is the best way to figure this out . i new at putting a axle in this way all the times i have done it its been a direct bolt in so any pointers in the right direction please lol

Re: questions ??????

Umm...measure.

When you set the pinion angle know that BOTH front and rear angles should be the same.

Re: questions ??????

Just did one. 14 bolt are 43" center to center move each side in 1 1/2 ". Measure same place each side on backing plate. Shock mounts a little harder to figure. Almost up against carrier short side. Cutting off old ones is the most fun. Use cutoff blades in 4" grinder, then clean off welds. Measure twice weld once lol.........Rick
