what all is involved with changing the rear end from opendiff to posi?

More or less a full rear end re build. The carrier needs to be replaced with a posi unit and if you are doing that you will want to change the bearings and seals. Do you have the right ring and pinion that you want ? If not do that at the same time. Or just find a used rear end that has a good posi. Personaly I would have a shop set it all up for you because the labor is cheap compaired to the parts. So if you do it wrong it will get very $$$
