its a sealer you put on polished aluminum parts that protects them.so you dont have to polish everytime you clean them.

Re: Centerline overstock wheels Who has them

Should I go 18x8's w/ 5.0 back spacing in the front and 20x8.5 w/ 5.4" Backspacing in the rear? Or just 20x8.5 with 5.4" back spacing all around?

What is the widest tire you can put on a 20x8.5 rim?

Re: Centerline overstock wheels Who has them

I hope this picture works. I am thinking about going with these wheels what do you think?

20.0 x 8.5 hi-polish forged wheel 5.4" Not shure about how far these wheels will tuck in the rear. Any Ideas or advice? How will they look? Not shure about what tires to run with yet on these. FInally the long wait for wheels is over.

Right now I am running 15x8 265/60/15 & 15x10 295/50/15 flush with the fender wells. Almost forgot I have a 2.5 and 4" drop

Re: Centerline overstock wheels Who has them

The Centerline website shows 20x8.5 wheels with 5.0" backspacing in 5-lug only. The 6-lug 20x8.5 wheels are the 5.4" backspacing he mentioned so I'm assuming he's got 6 lug? But I thought '72 trucks were all 5 lug? (except 3/4 ton of course)

The 5 lug wheels in your picture are 6" backspacing, not 5.4" if I'm reading the Centerline site properly.

Re: Centerline overstock wheels Who has them

Thanks,

It has been a long time in the works. I just hope they work out in the rear, don't want them to tuck extremly far into the fender wells.

I think that's the official Air Ride Technologies (www.ridetech.com) "shop truck". I'll see what kinda info I can dig up on it.

Need, no. Want- probably. They will tuck more in the rear than the front, which looks weird to me. I got 1" spacers for mine.

ART's shop truck. Bagged all the way around. The wheels are 18s.

Not up front. You will likely have to grind the ends of the rotor hubs.

Thanks for your help,

How much will I have to grind and where? Have any pics of your truck?

Re: Centerline overstock wheels Who has them

Centerline center caps wouldn't fit on the front of mine either. I have a 73-87 front end on the 57. Obviously since I went with different hubcaps I didn't mess with trying to make them fit, but the front hubs would definitely have to be ground down. I have also seen people just paint the hubs silver.
