ok guys heres the skinny i have a 70 c10 with nothing but i have a 71 c20 with power brakes and steering from the factory with tinted glass can any of this be put on my 70 c10 or did i buy a bad parts truck??? any help would be greatly appreciated

no help????? please let me know if i can swap parts out before i send the 3/4 ton the the junk yard

You should be able to put the steering over on your c10. But I am not for sure. pu

You can use the p/s box and pump (if the engine families are the same). You'll need a pitman arm (comes off the box) that fits a 70 c-10 w/p/s.

You COULD change the whole sup-frame to give you disc brakes, but why would you want 8 lug wheels? in the front?

Yeah, I think you bought a bad parts truck, if your goal was mainly p/s and p/brakes. There are quite a lot of difference between the c10 & 20 in regards to the driveline & suspension.

Or...take off the body and bed of the 10 and put on the 20 frame!

I hadn't thought about thought about JUST the power brakes.

I think you could use the booster set up w/ your drum brakes. If the 71 has disc (which I assume it does), the master cylinders are different.

You'd have to check at a parts store if the m/c's for power vs non-power drum brakes on a 70 are the same.

ok guys well i decided to try converting the parts over and it worked
i called the auto parts store and they said for a 70 c10 the master cylinder is the same for power brakes and manual brakes as for the power steering i took off all the components from the c20 and supprisingly it all fit the only difference was the outer bumper braket needed to be changes as well since there wasnt enough clearance with the 70 c10
anyways just wanted to say thanx for the help and i just wanted to post this incase someone else ever ends up as i did
unsure but happy it all turned out ok
