My truck has been misfiring lately hopefully it is only the plug but it could be a bent rod. I took a pic of a hose towards the back passenger side of the engine. It looks like it melted but I cant get in to feel if there are wires in there. Hopefully this has nothing to do with the timing and wont cause any problems.

its wire loom.

i got it on my truck and with it being so old, it is VERY brittle, so if anything even touches it, it will crumble.

yeah. I just hope whatever is in that loom isnt messed up. I need to buy some better headers because mine suck. I've found another leak in them.

When I get my new engine I'll buy some better quality headers too.

If its missfirin it could be that you melted the pwr wire going to your Hei dizzy

I would definatly see if you could find room and see if you can check it all out and replace wires if you need to.

Just be sure to get to the problem before major problems occur. Burnt stuff sucks.
