Re: Check out this custom 69?

The first picture made me go,"uh".I love the fabrication, but leave the best modern truck body style alone. They got it right. Why do some people want to get one of these, then completely change it?It seldom looks better(never IMO).All that work and the front end track is too narrow, too.Sorry, appreciate it,don`t think I like it.

I'm with Friz, I'd like to see some more full views, I'll reserve my opinion until then. The rounded door edges are kinda cool.............Bamm

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Are these your pics? If not, do you have the direct link to them? Who's the builder?

I think a lot of people have the idea that somehow different=cool... and in some ways it is, but only when the change is also an aesthetic improvement. Many make the mistake of thinking it will be "cool" simply based on the fact that it's different/custom. In reality "different" does not necessarily mean it will actually LOOK BETTER than before. I do all my stuff in photoshop before changing anything. Once I get it they way I like it on screen I go out in the garage...

I don't want to rant or preach, and I have no idea at this point if the changes on this truck look better or not with out a more complete view. But I do see where special-k is coming from.

Let's see some more pics!

Re: Check out this custom 69?

I think it is just me, but the first glance at the headlight/grille pix immediately made me think of a '47 Hudson. I'm guessing it's the angle, and I know it isn't a Hudson....just my stroke-damaged brain trying to crawl out from the shadows.

Nice-looking chassis and I like the rounded door corners, too. I'd sure like to see more of the vehicle.
