Gas Needle Flops

I was wondering if everyones gas needle flops back and forth on the 67-72 trucks? I have the tank behind the seat. I'm wanting to put a blazer tank or something else, I was wondering does the blazer tank do the same thing with the factory gauges?

Possible, a semi flooded float? Or ground problems. Time for a little trouble shooting!

Re: Gas Needle Flops

If the wire going to the tank is grounding out, the gauge will go to empty. I had my wire pinched in the door once and didn't know why the gauge was saying empty...it was grounding on the door sill.

Re: Gas Needle Flops

every old car/truck i have does this as the float moves up and down when you corner or hit bumps stuff like that makes the float move

1970shortbed<<<<<<<<< That's what I was thinking. I was wondering if when you change to the blazer tank does it still bounce back and forth when turning?
