Question turn key engines

does anyone know of anybody who sells turnkey complete engines that are already dressed out with chrome parts and accessories? i am trying to compare building one versus just buying one complete. i have not seen any that were already chromed out and complete. I would take a 350, or maybe even some sort of corvette motor. thanks in advance!

Re: turn key engines

Street & Performance in Arkansas offers 'fully dressed' engines as does Edelbrock. Be prepared for sticker shock though.....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Jasper engines, with a 2 year warranty, don't know the price.

Re: turn key engines

appreciate the feedback guys, most of the people recommended i have called. My problem is i am looking for alot of chrome and not polished parts and alot of people who sell these engines sell polished parts and that is what they call their show engines. they do look good but i prefer chrome, and i am also looking for something with a nice serpentine system. i think overall its going to be cheaper for me to probably build the engine myself and buy the chrome pieces separately.

Re: turn key engines

Is this going to be a trailer queen or a cruiser? The problem with chrome is that it will hold in the heat and cause you to run really high temps. also it will start to blue around the high heat areas like the headers.
