sheet metal question
Who has the best body panels to use for rust repair? (rockers, floors)
I got ebfabman's videos (and well worth the purchase) and have watched them twice so far and I've been practicing welding. Now it's time to get moving and I'm wondering if there's better manufacturers/suppliers to use, or do they all fit pretty good and use the same gauge sheet metal? Some claim to be the thickest gauge/ best fitting. I used a cheap dial caliper to measure the metal thickness around the transfer case shift lever and came up with about .04 - .05 inch including paint and under coat so I'm guessing the sheet metal gauge around 18 or 20 ga. Thanks Bill |

Re: sheet metal question
I've used LMC's patch panels for my 80 and they were OK. The shipping was good and well packed. The panels were off a little on the curved area's above the wheel well on the back boxside. I would give them a 7.5 out of 10. Price was great.
