tailgate question
i was fitting in the gate i bought. i dont currently have the link-assembly, so i didnt leave the gate on, but for the moment, i cant see what the latches are supposed to catch on. is that why the links are solid instead of a wire cable like on todays trucks? or is there another piece that im not thinking of that the latches catch on?
thanks, Last edited by RedZ71; 07-15-2007 at 04:34 PM. |

Re: tailgate question
the metal straps do in fact hold the femail part of the latch assembly.
They are better in almost every way than the gay junk cables on late models. These will last a whole lot longer (we get broken cables on trucks at work as early as 2 years old) they'll support more weight, they'll tuck in where they are supposed to be when the gate is in the closed position. The only draw backs to the solid arms, weight and noise. |
