3spd to auto swap
Any easy way to remove the crossmember that supports the bell housing used for a 3speed stick~~~it has 4 huge rivits holding the crossmember to the frame! Will be installing a 350V8 and a 700R4 trans. I have the auto crossmember but am wondering just how to get the original crossmember out without too much tourching~~. Huck

Re: 3spd to auto swap
I used a grinder w/cutwheel and a sawzall . It's not fun but not impossible.

Re: 3spd to auto swap
I used a 4" angle grinder to take all the heads off the rivets

The olde heat wrench does well. Not as well as someone else doing it for you.
