Messed up window. Need help.

The right window on my 63 GMC is broke and I have no clue how to fix it. I made the mistake of rolling it down once. Now I can't for the life of me get it to roll back up. I took the inner door panel off and tried to coax it into just raising and staying there but it keeps binding halfway up. I searched around and still couldn't figure out what it was hitting on. The window glass is up now. Held up by a screw driver to keep rain out of the cab. The mechanism that holds it is lying in the bottom of the door right now. I need to fix this thing so I don't end up breaking the glass. Has this happenned to anybody before? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Messed up window. Need help.

hmmmmm.....i hate windows, i've worked on windows and power window motors on several cars and it sucks. on a good note though, the window mechanisms on these trucks are really simple, just relax and find your flashlight. then spend some time just looking at how it works, u should be able to figure it out. whats laying at the bottom of the door? one of the tracks? regulator? chances are a nut or screw came loose over time and it just needs to be put back together.

The entire track the window sits on is at the bottom of the door. I'll take a pic of it tomarrow when there's light for visual aid.
