Re: TN - Luv Bought New Tires (Part 1)
I want the rear end, but two questions. 1, can I swap 5 lug axles out of mine and into yours? 2, How far are you from Greenville SC?

Re: TN - Luv Bought New Tires (Part 1)
OK, Knoxville will work. If you could though, before I commit, can you measure the width of the rear end for me? I guess there was a difference in width depending on the year. The truck I have is a 72 and I'd like to keep my 5 lug axles. If you could measure I'd know for sure.
Thanks By the way, you said you'd be coming on the first, but are you hanging around a t all or will you just be around on the first? -Brian

Re: TN - Luv Bought New Tires (Part 1)
Axles spin, it measures best I can tell about 59" from outside to outside
on the square plates at the ends of the tube. Where plates bolt up to

Re: TN - Luv Bought New Tires (Part 1)
I'll be able to meet you there on Saturday. For some reason the wife had me convinced that the 1st was a Friday. I'll probably get there around noontime - it might take me three hours or so (which is incidentally the longest trip ever with the new truck, and my ears will be ringing with the reason that I am buying the rear end in the first place (it's getting pretty loud).
Anyway - As long as you're gonna be around for a few hours near that time it all seems fine to me. I'll bring the cash and you'll bring the rear end. Thanks again -Brian

Re: TN - Luv Bought New Tires (Part 1)
Greenville is about 3 1/2 hrs on a tour bus so you can use that as a base time. If you're up to it, bring some diff lube and brake fluid and we could probably get it installed for the trip back.
