Dual horns picture
Has anyone got a picture of where their two horns are located by the rad support.
I swear, I can not find where teh rad support mounted horn is supposed to go, but I have two of them and the harness, so they must fit somewhere. Anybody recall if they hava a picture in their stash that shows the 2 OEM locations?

Re: Dual horns picture
Without a picture the best I can do is describe where I pulled the dual horn set up off of my core support,... There are two tapped holes 5/16nc in some welded on tabs that are real close to the stock volt regulator mount just below the left headlamp. Look there. The harness was such that there is still only one plug as for a single horn, but I believe like a jumper was there between the 2 horns. It has been several years ago that I pulled them from the junk yard.
Good luck. |

Re: Dual horns picture
Chuck - the basic horn (single only) bolts to the weld nut showing in cameeks post # 6. It is at the same level as the bottom of the VR. The optional horn (dual) mounts to the weld nut as shown by Chad in post #3. It is at about 7:30 o'clock from the center of the headlight and can be seen where the horn wire goes/\.

Re: Dual horns picture
Hey there all - thanks for all that constructive input. I got confused cus I had the aux. battery tray and it was using the lower bolt on the rad support. I did not think the horn would share it.
Great input. Thanks

Re: Dual horns picture
OK, here's a photo of the duel horn setup. I'm thinking since I'm the 3rd owner of this family farm truck Father, bought it new, son had it up to about a month ago and I bought it. Here's the photo. Hope this helps! Oh ya this is a 71 Longbox Cheyenne

Re: Dual horns picture
the easiest way to do it is........ have the hood raised and then have someone on the inside of the cab and mash the horn button and you will find em and when you pull that stunt make sure you have some aspirin
