Re: My truck

i worked on my truck again this weekend and got a little more done. i brushed the frame down and put some paint on it and got my holes drilled for my upper bag plate. i also cut the pipe off the lower cups because im gonna weld the the flat part in my lower a-arms. i didnt get any pics but i will post some this next weekend when i try to get it all back together. i ordered all the front end rebuild parts and my spindles this past week so they should be in this coming week. anyways here are a couple pics.

Re: My truck

ok a few more pics from today. i worked on my lower control arms and i got some pics of the finished product. i forgot my digital camera at home and didnt get any in progress pics. as i told yall in my last post i cut the pipe part off my lower bag cups and had just the plate so i could weld them into my arms. i measured 1in. from the bottom of the front and back of the spring cup to give it a little rake like the factory has it then cut the bottom of the spring perch out. once that was cut out i ground it smooth then welded the plates in. with a little finish work heres what they look like. i also pressed my new lower balljoints in.

Re: My truck

Here is what mine will do (no drop spindles)
Also our cups that we did in our A-arms are 3 inches deep (thats 1 inch lower than stock)

Once I get the rear bagged, I know Ima have to get different headers

Re: My truck

with the bag just sitting in the arm with no air it has clearence so im my mind when its full it should still have enough room to keep from rubbing because it expands more up than out. really and truely i just went off what everyone said about cutting the cups down. they said you could keep between 3/4" and 1" on the bottom of the cups and be ok and thats what this is. ill see how things look when i get the front end back together. thanks for the comment.

Re: My truck

spray bom, the heareds im running are 95 headers offa a c1500. you can get them from summit. summit has them for 150 or gibson ffor 350.00. i have the gibsom there are alot more eye apeling they come in chrome. but the problem you have is that you need to find a good muffler shop to make the franges. the flanges or collectors are ballnseat, witch is nice besause no more exhast leaks!!!!

Re: My truck

ok guys ive got a few recent progress pictures from the last couple weekends. i had to redo my lower control arms because i didnt like the way the bag was sitting in the pocket so i just welded some 1/4in plate in the bottom to get it up and away from any place that might make contact. Then this weekend i got everything back together. of course ive still got a lot of small things to do. oh and if anyone can tell me what they are doing for the rubber break line on the bottom it would be appreciated. mine is stretching really far when i air it out. thank alot and heres some pics.
