Help my truck breath

I have a 72 LWB C10 with a 350 and 3 speed man trans. My issue is that I want to install some headers but the Hedman block huggers that I had from a previous project shoot straight towards the transmission cross member. Even if the shop could bend the tube up and clear the x-member there is a clearance issue with the clutch fork on the driver side. What are your suggestions for a header that will clear everything? I have looked through summit and Jegs and unfortantly both are geared towards the 60's - 70's muscle cars...not our trucks. Thanks for the help. Also I am not looking to put any high bling items in there, keeping the truck a $1500 and under project.

Re: Help my truck breath

So, you have truck breath. First I would try Listerine, and if that doesn't work, an air freshener from Pep Boys.

Corn, our trucks are almost twins. I thought I was seeing things at first.

$1500.00 to do your truck is a tall order. Even if you go used (the wreckers) or buy a parts truck (my personal favorate) I would tend to think about saving a bit more cash.

esll.

Air cleaner and new PCV valve.

Your truck is sweet period! One of the nicer primer is finer rides on the board.
