Re: tpi question

If I remember right, I think I have mine hooked up. No other emission type stuff though.

I used the painless wiring harness.

Re: tpi question

They can usually be blocked off with no adverse effect. In fact you will have a cleaner intake with it blocked. Having it blocked will set a code but you won't be running a check engine light so not to worry.

Re: tpi question

you can block it off you dont need it the wiring harnes you got fro me doesnt even have egr wiring on it. you will alway have a code for the egr in the ecm unless you have a custom chip burnt then you can turn the egr stuff off.

Re: tpi question

You can block the egr port with no problems, I just cut the vaccum diaphram off of mine and plugged the hole. Never had a problem with it.

Re: tpi question

Yup...Mines blocked off.
No codes thrown with it blocked off either.

You can see the chrome block-off plate in the center of the intake.

Re: tpi question

There's a few on E-bay right now.

Your local parts store should have them as well.

I'm sure Summit and Jeg's have them.

Why not make your own?
It doesn't need to be pretty as it's hidden by the upper intake.

Re: tpi question

The EGR can't do anything at full throttle, so why not leave it?
That was my theory anyway.
I did cut its shroud out of the intake.

Re: tpi question

I left mine installed as well, just not connected. Also had the prom burnt with No EGR, so it doesn't give a code for the light to come on. Jeff.
