Re: Pics 4 Hartrod.
It doesn't look that bad, but I would like to see so more pictures. Those are so close and the lighting make them hard to see. I'm talking about the cracked bracket not the bent frame. Frame is of now worry. Can you take the hitch off allso? thanks
Rob

Re: Pics 4 Hartrod.
If you'll replace the broken area and take the hitch off, I'll call it good.

Re: Pics 4 Hartrod.
You mentioned in a PM that a bracket was broken and needed replaced:
"The other piece was on the pahard bar mount. It has a crack form the bushing being worn out on that end. It loosened the rivets that hold it to the frame and put the small crack that you see. I think you can just bolt another bracket on instead of having the rivets. I have several brackets. " R

Re: Pics 4 Hartrod.
The bracket is not the part that's cracked. It's the reinforcing plate that runs along the frame. I told you in the pm that I would cut that part out of another frame for you.

I really don't want to disassemble the rear of the frame. Do you have another frame?

Re: Pics 4 Hartrod.
Tim,
I got home and started looking at my frame and maybe the pictue you took just confused me. On my frame it looks like there is only a short bracket that has to be replaced requiring only 4 or 5 rivets to be removed. How many rivets would have to be removed to replace the bracket on your frame? I apologize for the hassle, but this is hard to do long distance. Thanks Rob

Re: Pics 4 Hartrod.
Is your frame a 3/4 ton? Maybe that's the difference. Your frame looks like it is beefed up more in the back than mine.

Re: Pics 4 Hartrod.
It's a 3/4 frame and that sounds about right on the amount of rivets. The other piece can be welded without removing.
