Door Skin ??s

How many have replaced the entire door skins? I was just wondering how well they were made and how well they fit. Are there any vendors here who sell them? And about how much are they?

Re: Door Skin ??s

I'm curious to know also..my k1500 has a door skin extra for it and I am curious if it's worth the hassle to put on,or just put on a better original door..

Re: Door Skin ??s

i did skins on my 72 a few years ago, at the time they were like 70 bucks, they fit good are easy to do, ( you can pretty much put them where ever you want them for the best gaps)havent had any problems..........the only thing that sucks now is that i the shells are rotting, so i will be buying new doors this time around, if you need any tips for removing or installing let me know, tool wise youll need a good 5 inch grinder, a good body hammer and a small straight piece of wood or a rubber dolly.......hope this helps

It`s the way to go,rather than trash good factory doors with rusted corners. The work in doing them is ofeset by not having to strip-out your doors and load the repops which may not fit as well as oem.
All the vendors sell all the repair pieces.
