$1400 control arm bushings
Thats what NTB quoted for replacement. uppers and lowers , left and right. Told them they were nuts. I'm a forklift mechanic and went and bought everything to completely rebuild front end for under $500 Moog brand including new shocks. I mean everything. $1400 is just insane.

Re: $1400 control arm bushings
Places like that usually do 100% markup on any parts. They buy the parts from the same places you do, and at pretty close to the same price. Labor is pricey too, thats why it's not uncommon to hear of $2000 brake jobs, etc.

Re: $1400 control arm bushings
You have to remember that those bolts will be well corroded, and siezed....to start with. Second those bushings have to be pressed in/out.....not a fun job.
Why do you want them replaced?, I have yet to see a truck that needs them replaced, and the control are has any play... Labour is expensive, and your probably looking 3-5hrs a side.....minimum Just my 2 cents Duro

Re: $1400 control arm bushings
it's time to replace. Half of the bushings are missing, play in outer rods, while its all off might as well replace everything. It's an economical thing. While your there, might as well yada yada yada. It's your ass behind that wheel. Same as brakes. I'll be doing them too while it's apart. Also no rust down here in Texas. Have impact . Mo Fo's will come off.
