Re: hooker headers

I used em , but since I removed the small block, they are packed in a box , wont fit my big block,
The coating is fine and recomemded, helps keep things cool around them. I figure since gas prices are sooooo cheap , I would put me in a gas guzzlin big block...... good fit by the way. expensive though, good thick flanges (so leaks up top are minimal when using good thick metal gaskets)

I have them on my truck...but uncoated. I have never had problems out of Hooker ever.

Re: hooker headers

Hookers are awesome, I put them on a couple months back and never regretted it. They are even sealing with the stock flimsy header and collector gaskets.
The only thing I had to do was grind a little bit of the lower part of the frame to clearance the tubes, probable unnecessary but I did it to allow for engine rock.
I'm using the Hooker Maxflow mufflers too after a 2 1/2" X-pipe, the exhaust really opened up the top end of my motor compared to my old setup.

Re: hooker headers

I had to bend mine aways...but that might have been because I had bent them before when I had the old Flowtech headers.
