ok, cool. I know the truck has a stock assembly line set up, (its listed on the glove box) but the switch was in pieces when i got the truck. OLDCHEV said he would keep an eye open for a replacement, and he sent me this one.

I have 2 factory cruise setups sitting in a box.that i removed myself they are the 69-70 style, they have the chrome turn signal handle with the button in the end(just like the one Rod has pictured)they also should have little recess lines in the signal arm with a black line in them,i have found the same one in 67-70 Camaro,Chevelles, and Impalas.then they mount to firewall on a bracket with a little rolling wheel that the chain goes around and hooks to the back of the carb, the vacuum(transducer(where all the trans, speedo cable goes mounts to the driver inner fenderwell.then the brake switch.and some wiring etc.i pulled these myself both from vehicles at junkyard one a Longhorn other a Suburban. My fathers GMC factory motor home conversion has factory cruise thats identical to what i have.both of my units were listed on the glove box door, which i saved also,72 units have a switch activator on the underside LH side of dash that says cruise master. Most of the black handles that say cruise on them are from 73 up GM trucks and vans.

No, the dash is solid wood. Its a couple of years old now. Its just oak stained with cherry stain. I'll try to post a pic of it. Jeff.

Thanks for the compliment. I had a guy cut it all out for me. He had a keyhole saw and that made it real easy for him. I made one more for a guy that liked it too, but he couldn't get it to mount in his truck. I haven't tried to, but might put it on the Blazer just to see how it looks. Its all oak, but stained red mahogany. Looks real nice. Jeff.

hehe, thanks. It might have been. Its a cali truck. It was sitting just like that for 20 years. Of course the previous owner was not a forestor. Not sure if he bought it new either. I should try to find out. Its actually in good shape. Just needs the usual parts replaced.
