seen plenty of the 60's style but haven't seen too many 73-87 old skool rides and I'm about to start a new project even tho I haven't finished mine. I found a good deal on a 86 SWB fleet with a 350/th350 for my daughter's first car. here are the plans I'm mulling over for it.

1. dropped as much as possible without bags or having to notch the bed
2. black satin "old skool" paint
3. red "steelies" or ralleys with the beauty ring
4. Dutch style pin stripe
5. red interior

any pics out there that fit this?

thanks for the pics, that C Dime on the top with some red steelies would be spot on....

What is the third pic at the top? I can see the old cab and BBC, but other than that, does anybody know any details?

I have always wanted to build something similar, out of mostly left over dirt-track parts, and have a street legal road-race truck... Just think about an 80's GM Cutlass/Gran Prix/Regal/Monte Carlo frame, with a simple 12-point cage, with four corner weight jacks, AFCO springs and quick steer with a 4.56 geared Ford 9" out back... Set the engine back under the cowl and go play...

i've been eyeing my neighbors 76 Datsan to do something like that! fab a bed to fit inside the tires, and drop the cab to the ground, and no fenders, and a 350/350, and uh.... hmmm, that would make for a good first school car, wouldn't it?

Some people won't like it but for the money I have invested in it, I love it. Not bad for less than 500.00$ out of my pocket...
