What spring is this?
Ok, I've got what I understand are 1 ton springs with helpers. They are 2.5 inches wide. Unsprung: Eye to eye 54". Front eye to center 26". Center to rear eye is 30". Are these 56" springs?
How do I recenter these on a frame originally set with 52" springs? Split the difference OR set the front in the stock position and end up moving the rear towards the end of the frame.

Re: What spring is this?
The tire has to stay centered close to the same in the wheel opening, so it depends on where the locating pin is in the springs.

Re: What spring is this?
As Blazer said, the distance from the front mount to the centering pin is what locates your wheels in the opening. If you measure that on your truck now and measure the new springs that will give the info you need to determine if you need move the front mount. With a larger arch the front pin distance actually needs to lengthen slightly to keep the wheels in the same position.
Keep in mind you want the rear shackle to be close to vertical to allow the spring to "straighten out" when compressed. Why are you wanting to change the springs you have?

Re: What spring is this?
Sorry about the limited info.
I'm building a 'new' truck from the frame up. I have to bolt on the front and rear hangers for the rear springs. The frame is a 68 1 ton (2wd, 157" wheelbase) with no arch for the rear axle .... it runs straight back so some liberty with axle placement is noted. (depending on fleetside bed placement) Now that I think about it, I have to keep it relatively centered so that the overrider springs will match up to the frame stops. (But, there may be some wiggle room. Dang, I hate forgetting some of the details!) (Converting the front to 4wd)
