I'm gonna do flames someday, how do most people mask them, do they use contct paper or something, an draw it out then cut it out or what?

I LAY THEM OUT WITH 1/8" WIDE MASKING TAPE, & THEN USE 1" & 2" MAKING TAPE TO FILL ON WHERE I DON'T WANT PAINT.

on some motorcycle show thisguy was paintig flames and he had mckingtape that was like in 2 foot sheets, so he could fill in the spots easier

it turned out real good to be sprayed outside in 40 degree weather.my cousin drawed them on with a pencil then used 1/4 in. tape to go around them and then we taped it all up and shot it.he did it all i just helped with the tape.all it cost me was $45 for the paint.they want be on it but maybe a year or 2 then im going to 2 tone it like orginal.the trk is in gray primer the flmes are in yellow/org/red bumper/grille is yel also.will try to get pics up tommaro
