Well, sorry for that but I've long suspected that's how those 90's Cadillacs were made and this is confirmation.

Not really the truck is still ok all ya gotta do is unbolt the bed or what ever it's called now and toss it and you have a pretty nice truck.

I noticed he's got 1 piece windows and he mounted the rear view mirrors where the wing windows were.

Re: look at this truck, I'm speechless

Gag!!!! I'd much rather drive a mechanically sound stock rust bucket than something that looks like that! I think that it is hideous, and that van is just as bad! I guess they thought that paint would cover it up and make it look okay! I ran across another one of these "gems" a few weeks ago. Not only did one guy think that his "creation" was pretty cool, but somebody else must have thought the same thing, because it actually sold! This must be the result of a few generations of drug use is all that I can say! If they want to ugly something up, they need to stick to the Furds. They are already so ugly anyway that they can only be improved! ...Joe

Re: look at this truck, I'm speechless

I just puked in my mouth. As a body guy, I can appreciate the amount of work that went into that...but...damn...

The psycho girl sitting next to me loves it...but she obviously lacks taste when customizing/sense of style when it comes to square body Chevy trucks/overall fit of the build to the original vehicle/era of the truck...

Opinions are like assholes....everyone has them.

Re: look at this truck, I'm speechless

I saw a truck last night on my way to work that fits in this category. I wish that I'd have had my camera along, and that it hadn't been pitch black dark out so that I could have gotten a good pic of it. It was quite a hack job.

This one was a mid 90's Suburban that somebody tried a pathetic attempt at making into an Avalanche. They had cut the back roof off with what appeared to have been a sawzall. Looked like they glued the rear section of roof onto the rear just behind the doors.

It still had the barn doors on the back, which was a dead giveaway to what it was. When he first got up beside me, at first thought that it was a 3/4 ton 4 door that somebody had cut down into a shortbed. Then when I saw that the back wasn't a bed, I knew it was a hack job.

Why do people do things like this to a perfectly good truck? If he wanted an Avalanche, he should have just traded up for one instead of ruining a perfectly good truck and killing the resale value of it. ...Joe

Unhappy Re: look at this truck, We should be speechless

Well, here's a guy doing some work with his dad on a truck. Let's see, if we don't like the style, I guess the best thing is to shut the **** up and enjoy that someone is doing something different than stabbing heroin in his arm, or sitting on the couch watching t.v. while his father is getting in a fight down at the local stink-hole saloon.....

Now, if the kid asked me how I liked his choice, I'd probably have to work hard not to hurt his feelings with my answer.

But I don't remember his asking me.

I remember, in my youth, there was an unwritten rule: "You never say anything bad about my ride or my mother". I guess this is a different world these days, huh?
