Need paint ideas

I need ideas for painting my truck, I can not decide on a color at all, and I think I want a 2 tone job, I was thinking red fading to yellow with orange in between, like on the trailer behind this truck:

Heres the catch though, I can only afford to get the truck painted a solid color at this point, is it even possible to get the second color put on later?

the yellow would have to be really bright like on this truck:

and the 2 tone I wouldnt really want a standard at the body line split, something like this maybe:

or

There are just so many options I cant decide!!!!!

Re: Need paint ideas

Ok, you need to make a list. Start with colors that you hate and work your way down to colors you love. That will get you closer to a decision.

Next you need to consider how much you can afford to spend on paint. Custom paint is expensive. Heck, cheap paint is expensive. Set a budget, then double it if you need any body work.

There are a lot of things to consider before you pull the trigger. One thing to keep in mind is it's really hard to make two-tones, fades, etc work on a stepside bed. When you lay out lines over those fenders they look crooked from one angle and straight from another. It's like painting an egg, it can be done but it's not easy.
