could type F tranny fluid be run exclusively in a th 350 with a mild shift kit

why would you want to put a ford fluid that is for fords, dexron 2 or 3 would be what you want , and should be readily available at every auto parts store you can find, I would guess even your grocery stores will stock it, If my memory serves me, and maybe someone can correct me, the friction material is in the ford fluid and on a gm it is in the material of the bands and clutches, I suppose it would work , but I would wonder why you would even want to use it, I personally would stick with what it calls for , dexron type fluid |

OI have heard tranny builders say it is better stuff, but they also said you had ti use exclusivly the F stuff and never mix the two.
If it's a fresh rebuild, I say get mobile1 dextron. |

Yeah,what LM says. FWIW,I used to work in AAMCO shops and that's all we used, shift kit or no.

Type F is almost the same thing as B&M's "trick shift". Ive always had good luck with type F with shift kits...
