78 Corvette wheels

I have always liked the 78 Corvette wheels, especially the ones with the red pin-stripe that comes on the 25th aniversary Vette. I think theywould look great on my 71 C10. Does anyone know if they would fit 71-72 trucks? Anyone have pictures? Thanks

Re: 78 Corvette wheels

The 71-72 pickups are 5 by 5 pattern, the Vette wheels are 5 by 4 and 3/4. They would fit with wheel adaptors or if you did some axle and rotor re drilling, and I am unsure of the center (hub) hole

i *THINK* some of the big body mone carls (late 70's) had this style wheel with 5 on 5... if not, then it's aftermarket only.

Not a 67-72 but here ya go.

I'm assuming he was running wheel adapters. I guess it's possible he was running Vette Suspension. I would think that this particular truck wouldn't be ideal for that mod.........but who knows.

Re: 78 Corvette wheels

He has to have wheel adaptors or different suspension.
I put Z28 wheels on my 69 short step.
Had a disc brake adaptor kit on the front. So i could run MonteCarlo rotors. And i redrilled the rear axels and hubs. Also had to remove the axels to have the center machined down at a shop. Wheels wouldnt go over them.
