What thread size is a 71-72 transfer case knob??

Hey guys I had someone ask me a question about a shift knob I have... I don't know what size I have. I do know it's the correct one like in my 71 super. I think it's 7/16 but not sure if it's 3/8's. Thanks guys Trevor

Re: What thread size is a 71-72 transfer case knob??

IIRC all of the 1971/72 NP205 transfer case shift lever/knobs were threaded 7/16"-20 and it was the 1970 model NP205 handle/knob that was threaded 3/8"-24, I can check out my 205 lever collection tomorrow to verify. Cb

Above posted info verified this morning on six different 71/72 Np205 shift handles and three 70 model Np205 handles. Cb

Thanks guys... I ended up running by Home Depot and found out for sure it was 7/16" but yeah that's me on there. Not holding out on anyone, just a poor college boy needing some money to buy my family some xmas gifts. Trevor
