Re: What did you accomplish this year?
Its funny but if you look at my build thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=223234 it started last January
Has it been a year already? Oh and the funniest part it was supposed to be 3-4 months max

Re: What did you accomplish this year?
Well lets see,,,,,
I suicided the doors, built a 4 1/2 cowl in my hood, mini tubbed the rear, swapped in a 9" ferd rear end, shaved the body of everything but the side markers, relocated the fuel fil to the rear, stripped the front clip and primered, stripped both doors and primered, re sealed the seams in the cab,,,,, that's all I can think of right now. I plan to have the whole body and chassis done early in 08 and have the interior done and everything painted by the end of the summer. Spend next winter on the engine and driving by spring/summer 09. Re: What did you accomplish this year?
Got my EFI up and running, MK8 electric fan, cs130 alternator, A/C is working, sport bumper installed, 72 motor mounts swapped in. I guess I got a pretty good amount of stuff done without really realizing it till just now.
This board is a good motivator, there's lots of quality trucks out there built by guys in their garages and driveways.

Re: What did you accomplish this year?
I installed a 6 lug disc brake kit on the front of the truck, with dropped spindles, rebuilt the frontend (excepting balljoints), installed power brakes and a power steering box. Also installed custom gauges, and got the truck legally driveable. Put about 400 miles on it, maybe a few more than that. It still needs a ton of help, but it was a step in the right direction.

Re: What did you accomplish this year?
Lets see, new rims and tires, went from external to internal regulator, wired in relays for my headlights and replaced my cracked heads with some new ones. Not bad, more to come in 08.

Re: What did you accomplish this year?
Since my '71 C-10 is my daily driver I did not do a lot on it but keep it running. My son gave me a new grill for Christmas so I put that in a few days ago. Early in the year I put a new dizzy cap, coil and plugs in it. I replaced the dimmer switch pig-tail. Replaced the worn brake and clutch pedal rubber covers.
My wife and I took a month off from work and went to Oregon and California to visit family and friends. In October we bought a '77 GMC 6500 Tilt-cab dump truck. I have been working on it getting it road-worthy. On and off I have been building my wife a 16' by 24' craft/sewing room. It has been weather-tight for about 2 months now, I guess the next thing to do will be to start putting in sheetrock. Darn, as usual I got long winded. Hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year. Re: What did you accomplish this year?
Considering my limited budget, and the fact that its my ride to work, I think I got a lot done:
Added power steering dual exhaust rebuilt rear axle added posi new springs new cam, intake & carb total brake system overhaul new tranny Except about 75% of the engine, my truck is mechanically new. I guess its time for bodywork in '08?

Re: What did you accomplish this year?
I built a new house. 2800 square feet with 5-car garage, 2 attached, 3 detached. All spaces are full with my two daily drivers, a '56 Bel Air post, a '56 Nomad and my faithful '72 Cheyenne Super.

Re: What did you accomplish this year?
Well the 68 didn't have much done except keep it running, I drove it maybe 20 miles this year, the 97 got some more frame mods hopefully will finish this truck in 08 so I can move it out of the garage and move the 68 in to get torn down completely, built a new RV access (that is 2 cars wide) and plumbed air throughout my garage including a hook up at the RV access. Off the Chevys I bought a $500 Toyota 4x4 that a kid threw a rod clean out the side of it, threw in a used motor I picked up from my roomate for $300 slapped it in and she runs good 25mpg daily driver now, great $800 truck. Quit smoking after 13 years, 10 years at 2 packs a day Cold turkey no withdrawls (mind over matter) That was probably the greatest thing to ever happen to me beside the birth of my son. Me and the old lady split up not he best thing but its for the better were still great friends, got 50/50 on the kid so I get to spend a lot of time with him, and thats my year.
Hope the best for everyone in 2008

Bought my truck. Rattle canned it flat black. New wheels and tires. Replaced front fenders and the grill. Worked on the interior some. Fixed an annoying oil leak. Popped in an HEI. Got a new exhaust system. Fixed my dash lights. Fixed my windshield wipers. More to come next year...

Re: What did you accomplish this year?
My top on the list is that my five year old lives with me to go to school. Then I found a 67 Chevrolet truck. Then I found a Job that affords me to be able to drive the 67 truck and maybe even fix it up as we enjoy doing. It was a good year even if it was a little slow in transpiring. I thank God for it all.
