Project " Melting Pot"
Hi guys just starting a new project with my son. I hope I can teach him something with this build .We have a lot of parts from all over . The frame is from a 70 2wd the cab is from a 72 c20 and is rust free. The front clip is a after market 67 and the motor is going to be a 454 with a 400 trans. Our goal is to be finished in about 6 months . Heres some pics.http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/i...lies/chevy.gif

Re: Project " Melting Pot"
I can't believe how clean that cab is! Should be nice and you have a awesome start not having to go after the rust on the cab. That is going to be a real time saver. It took me forever it seemed to fix mine.

Re: Project " Melting Pot"
Well I think its going to look a lot like the one your building. Painted red with a bb. 2-1/2 drop spindles in front 5 in. in rear. Just a nice driver with about 500 hp. It will be a complete build from ground up. Not to crazy.

Re: Project " Melting Pot"
Heres a pic of the front end . Question? Has anyone used por 15? I was thinking of using it on the frame and on some smaller parts only to save on time. Some guys swear by this paint. The frame is really clean and smooth so the paint should go on nicely . What do you think?

Re: Project " Melting Pot"
hollywood, i used por-15 on my frame as well & am very pleased with it. i would for sure recommend that if you spray it yourself that you have a good face mask & mask what you don't want to be painted, it really does overspray...... imho
good luck!! |
