I will get you some pics of mine. Got a 2002 silverado bench seat in mine right now. You have to re-drill the seat holes, but that's about it

Re: late model bench seat???

The pic is blurry, but you get the point. Fits real well, and looks good too, IMO.

Sicmaro, that looks great! I'll try to get some better pics of mine when it's not pouring rain outside, and I can take it out in the daylight.

Re: late model bench seat???

I am going to put a 2nd-row seat from a '98 Tahoe in mine. PUTTER, a member, had a thread on the installation he did in his truck. You won't have any fore/aft adjustment, but who else are you gonna let drive it, anyway? Found my seat in the paper, listed for $200, but got it for $125. It's tan leather, and I wanted a grey seat, but now have decided to redye it in red.

The trick seat for years was the 88-98 truck seat, but they have dried up as far as finding one in good shape....except the one in my '96.

Re: late model bench seat???

Yes, a '99 silverado (new body style) will have the seat belts integrated into the seat. You will need to put some re-inforcement plates under the floor when you bolt the seat down, to keep the bolts from pulling thru in the event of a collision.

I DO have fore-aft movement of the seat, on the tracks. I have it all the way back though, because I'm 6'3" 290...

I think you could use the one I have. I haven't measured, and my tank is relocated, but I think it might work. Decent amount of room. I can take a couple measurements next time I fire up the garage heater and go play.

The second-row seat I have is usable with the tank in the cab.

Yeah, the buckets and the 40-20-40 bench seat are the same bolt pattern, unless I'm mistaken.

The seat base looks identical to the leather buckets in my '05 2500HD.

Re: late model bench seat???

I also used the same style seat as the rear seat from a tahoe, but from an 05 GMC crewcab, same difference. Once ya make the brackets, its fits great, a lil high, but thats alright. heck, for $40, I couldn't pass it up, especially since thats exactly what i wanted!
