For you all that have the straight through type of mufflers.....is this so?
Most people think that borla's, magnaflow's, etc sound like glasspacks, so they stay away from them. They may have a similar design, but in no way do they sound like glasspacks at any RPM.

Re: Mufflers

I have a 72 C10 fleetside with headders forties and 3" pipe all the way out back. The flows are mounted under each door between outside of frame and edge of body, this leaves plenty of space for under bed gas tank. It's a little loud with some drone but I still love it.

Re: Mufflers

I have 3" exhaust with 40 series clones & they droned pretty bad until I put 2' long 4" tips on them. Took the window rattle out & made them sound MUCH better...

I had turbos on a prostreet 65 chevelle I used to have & they sounded great. I also had a pair of glass packs clear back there that sounded nice too & I usually hate glass packs. The glass packs sounded a lot like super trapps. I havent heard a muffler that sounds bad way back there IMO...
