Paint code help

Hey folks. I need some help finding the paint code for a 2002 Volkswagen. The color is a yellow, I am sure that you have seen one painted this color. I have found one, but the owner was a young female that did not have a clue what I was asking for. I have contacted the local Volkswagen dealership, and they said they could not help because they didn't have a yellow Volkswagen on the lot at the time. I have found a company that mixes and sells touch-up paint, but once again without a code, they can't help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

im an automotive painter ill look in the book tomorrow as well. i used to work at a vw dealer many years ago. cant remember too many of the codes but if i had to take a wild guess i would say LY9B, maybe?

oh yeah, if you find a vw with that yellow color on it ,the code should be in the trunk under the spare tire cover.

the 02 vw beetle color is LD1D, i checked it out in the book this morning.

well i guess my memory sucks LY9B was a black, sorry. but i also looked at the book today i also came up with LD1D for 2002 VW yellow. hope this helps
