CarTest, get the DOS version...

Everyone was asking about 1/4 mile calculators...this one seems to be one of the better ones out there (when checked against my truck, the '94 Z28, and '97 Mercedes) and it's free to boot.

Plus, it's got some goofy little things so you can estimate how fast your car is around certain tracks...I'm sure most people here would only recognize the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Talladega, but there's stuff like the 14 mile Nurburgring in there...

I'd really like to see some exact numbers to put in for our trucks regarding the height and all of that...

My computer detected security problems warning me I was taking a risk of a virus if I opened the application. I believe Richmond Gear would have registered this program.

any virus detection software will put up a red flag when you try to open up any .exe based software.

A scanned for virus's and I tried the program after modifying the parameters to match my vehicle and the actual 1/4 mile numbers were WAY off what they should have been.

I've got Norton 2003 and it didn't so much as budge on this program...

Maybe that is my problem. I still use Norton Anti-virus 2001. They do give me updates several times a week, but the base program must be outdated. They keep sending me e-mails trying to get me to spend $29.95 for their NEW 2003 version, but hell, thats $30.00 less I get to spend on the old truck! HeHeHe.

One thing about Norton 2003 for any of you guys running AutoCad. I recently installed Norton 2003 and ACAD 2002 wouldn't run after that. You will have to go to the Autodesk site and download an updated driver (AC1ST15.dll), overwrite the old driver and ACAD will work again. It seems that all versions of ACAD get buggered up by Norton 2003.

Autocad and Norton conflict? That's a weird one... *shrug*

The numbers came out pretty well for me...only mildly pessimistic in performance...

Thank you! I just installed Norton 2003. I figured I screwed something up when I couldn't open autocad. I feel better that it wasn't me. TF

pretty cool but anyone have a guess on coefficiant of drag it looks pretty important to this program.
