Custom Mirror Info Please
I'm building a rusty rat rod kinda 67 and I'm looking for those mirrors that hang from the top of the doors. I can't seem to find any examples. Could someone please post a picture or link for me? Are there different types? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, this is definitely not a show truck but I thought replacing the 18 wheeler mirrors might look cool.
Thanks for the help!!!! |

Re: Custom Mirror Info Please
Pick up a copy of Street Rodder, Rod & Custom or most any street rod magazine. Most all the vendors have them.

Re: Custom Mirror Info Please
I've got them on my RH door...totally buttt useless IMHO.
You can find them at the swapmeets for cheap but go to a board vendor for nice ones. Or check out a ratrod forum for other ideas. |

Re: Custom Mirror Info Please
My grandson has them on his '67 C-10 and all they are good for is looks, at least that is what he told me.
I guess his truck is a ratrod. It is flat black and goes like heck with the modified 350. Danny -Southeast Missouri |

Re: Custom Mirror Info Please
i got a pair of peep mirrors for x-mas, i got the ones from lmc, i guess their the cheap ones where the stem attaches to the mounting bracket wont stay tight, so it won stay adjusted. pass side wont adjust to see anything remotely close to behind the truck, and i assumed that with such a small mirror they would put curved glass like new mirrors so you could see a thing or 2 at a glance.
if i were to get diff mirrors, id get the round camaro or chevelle mirrors, factorl look but def more sporty. |

Re: Custom Mirror Info Please
Rath,
Now I know why my brother Don (BigDon-1970Blazer) in Poplar Bluff wants to build a rat rod truck. You must have been talking to him!!
