The original windows track forward when rolled down. Because this window goes full length the track has to be changed so that it comes straight down.

Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

I talked to Ben (I think that was his name) at the company today as I really would like these if they work. He told me they've sold over a hundred for our model (more for the 73+) and that they've made updates since the first batch went out (due to customer feedback and some better parts). He was friendly, up front with some of the problems and what they've done to correct them... He said now, over the phone, most of the time it's trying to understand exactly what the problem is to correct the adjustment.

Soooo, I bit. I'll be the newest guinea pig on these. I'm getting my truck painted so I want to get these most of the way installed but likely won't put in the felt channel, scrapers etc... until I get the truck back. It may be awhile but thought I'd let you know as many are waiting for more feedback.

If you don't want to take the chance and don't really care that much about the triangle, Brothers still has their 1pc windows on sale for just a couple hundred bucks!

Yes, it was Ben. What he stated is correct. Why didn't you get them from me, could have saved you $15, not alot right now, but.....

Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

The kit was designed so the average person could do the install, so there isn't any "certified" installers.

Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

They have the instructions on line at their site

http://www.onepieceproducts.com/imag...nKit_67-72.pdf

It doesn't look that hard... actually easier than what I saw for Brothers... to me anyway.

Sounds like making the adjustments may be a bit trickier.... guess I"ll find out.

Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

We have the same set of detailed set of instructions on our site.

I personally only know of 1 kit that had issues rolling all the way down.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over?!

So does ANYONE have pics of this kit installed showing how far the windows stick up when rolled all the way down?
Or better question....
Does anyone have a kit that is installed and works correctly (all the way down and all the way up) without falling out of the track?
Anyone???
Not bashing, but still too little feedback from real truck-folks I actually trust to drop that kind of cabbage.
PICS?

Thumbs up Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

that was funny putter but also true!! i agree with you there is not enough feedback on this kit and the little bit of feedback that we have seen suggests that it has problems.

Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

Also looking at the directions it does not look any easier then the brothers kit actually more difficult and I am not down with the upper hinge mod, weather stripping adhesive to hold the stop on? No thanks. I agree with Pudder I need more proof this kit is better then I have heard for the cheese they are asking for it.

Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

How about this: I am going to Maggie Valley Show and I have a half kit for display purposes and a donor door that I haven't installed yet. I could bring it to the show and let someone install the kit in the door using the instruction... Someone can bring the necessary tools and I will provide the door and the kit...

That way people can "see" what it takes. I can even bring my video recorder and record the whole process....

Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

Here are two pics of the One Piece Windws installed on my truck.

Name: Passenger Side Down.jpg
Views: 465
Size: 25.0 KB

Name: Passenger Side Up.jpg

If you have the option to get these before the truck is painted it would be very wise to go through the fitting process and avoid the posibility of harming the final finish. For me I did it wrong, I got the windows after the body work was complete .

Good luck.....

Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

I'll take your advice Bob, thanks

Did you have the same problem on both windows? I wouldn't mind them not rolling all the way down but it's got to go all the way up. Last resort, they're only a couple hours away from me should it get too frustrating.

PS - very nice truck!

Am I seeing things or do they not roll all the way up?! Not going all the way down is one thing but.....

I really like the idea of the one piece window but the more I read about these kits, buying a new set of wing windows seems alot easier

Re: One Piece 67-72 Windows (no triangles)

I think we need some more feedback from board members that have done the install.
I'm not really concerned with how difficult the install is, but the end result.
I am very interested because I'm about to send my cab and doors to the body man. I was not even going to look at one piece windows until I saw this set up but I don't want to waste my money when I know how well the originals work and fit.
I'm not trying to bash I just want more input.
Dan
