Hecho de Mexico engines
Sorry if this comes up twice.
I just bought a 350 engine with a 10066036 number on the block. I'd like to know if y'all have had any problems with this engine or has it performed well for you. All input needed and appreciated. Thanks Bill

Re: Hecho de Mexico engines
I bought a 350 H.O. that was assembled in Mexico in 2000. It's been in 2 differant trucks and I've never had any problems out of it.

I don't know about the newer blocks, but backin the day they were said to have a lower nickle content and didn't take well to a rebuild.

Re: Hecho de Mexico engines
Ive been in the GM plant where the motors are built. the inspection is very close watched and Ive had a 350 in my truck for 7 years no ploblems what so ever. matter of Fact the 4th Im going back to the plant again for inspection of maintenance on the line bore machine because of confusion on the coolant pressure

Re: Hecho de Mexico engines
I bought one with that number on the block for 600 bucks at the junkyard, and it runs great. I'm very happy with it, although I would like a little more power.
