And here are the most current pictures i took today. The one is of my interior header panel repair panel i welded in, one of my seats out of a ford aspire, an engine pic, an overall, and one showing how low it is now. It has 3 inch lowering coils in the front and i have a djm 5 inch flip kit for the rear but i havent installed it yet

This is the plan for it. I already have most everything to finish it because i want to put it in my local car shows this summer so as soon as it warms up i'm going to work on it till its done. I am painting it gloss black with PPG shopline acrylic enamel, Shaved markers, Rear rollpan, painted front bumper, Lowered 3/5, The cross in the middle of my GMC grill will be gunmetal grey, I'm doing the door handles and teh chrome bar on the vent window SEM trim black, And i'm going to run 17 inch Crager Black soft 8's

Here are some pictures from last fall just to show you what all i've done to the cab. I replaced the drivers floor pan, front floor support, inner rocker, outer rocker, and the inner roof panel. The rest of the cab was solid except for one small patch in the passenger rocker and a small patch in the front edge of the roof. It has since been mudded, blocked, primed and blocked again, and seam sealed and will soon get painted inside and out with PPG shopline single stage black. Then i will get started on the rest of the body panels.

Got any details on the cab roof fix? Was it a big pain? I've got one I'm contemplating fixing. Lookin' good so far

The cab roof fix wasnt too terrible. The hardest part about it was getting it in place because the way the inside of the roof is shaped it didnt wanna allow me to slide the repair panel right into place. I would get about 2 inches away and it wouldnt go anyfurther because the panel hit the windsheild pillars so i had to bend the corner of my panel down for clearance, get the panel in place and clamp it, then use a pick hammer to tap the piece i bent back into place. My roof was extremely bad on the inside though so it had to be done.

Hey, anyone that is from cali. The man i bought this truck from said he bought it when he lived in San Carlos california 10 years ago and he drove it all the way to Ohio when he moved back here. Do any of you recognize it? He said the owner before him had the last name Floyd

Here is the flip kit i'm using. It is a DJM 5 inch rear flip kit. I got it from summit racing. I'm waiting till it warms up to install it because i dont have much room to work at the rear end of my truck right now so once it is a little nicer i'm going to pull it outside and spend a saturday doint the flip and painting the frame rails in the rear with some 395A.

Well i came up with a great idea for my truck but i dont think its gonna happen. This was the plan, My stepdad is a ceritified welder so i wanted him to backhalf my frame using the stock framerails and just narrowing them and then i was gonna take my rear end to a man that lives in my town that does alot of fabricating and machine work and have him narrow my rear end so i could tub my truck and run some fat mickey thompson sportsmans. My stepdad wouldnt do it though because he said i have to nice of a frame to cut up.

Well i havent posted any updates for a long time because i havent had access to a digital camera but i borrowed my sisters camera and got a pic for you guys. So far i've got the whole cab painted inside and out and the interior is done except for door panels. I've trim painted the doors and fenders and put them back on. And the bed just needs blocked and its ready to paint. I got tired of seeing it sit in the garage though so i put the lights and windows back in it and got a windshield installed and i've been cruising in it how it is. Hope you guys like it. I cant wait till its done...

well my truck wasnt running very good on the top end so i bought a cheap timing light and checked where my timing was at because i never set the timing when i did my HEI swap and it was at 2 degrees retarded so i bumped it up to 10 degrees advance and tried it out and it runs like a different truck. I about lost it in front of my house because the road is really dusty because they are hauling alot of dirt on my road right now to cap off an old landfill down the street so when i punched it the truck went sideways on me.

well i decided to try adjusting my brakes today because i didnt like how they felt and bleeding them didnt help, so i got both front brakes done and did the drivers rear. Then i pulled the drum off of the passenger rear and it was soaked in some sort of fluid so the first thing i thought was wheel cylinder. The wheel cylinder looked dry though so i kept looking for where the fluid came from and found out it was the axle seal so i put it back together so i could pull it in the garage to pull the axle out of it and when i tightened the lug nuts i snapped a wheel stud off on the drivers side. So i got it in the garage and pulled the axles out of the rear end and got the bad seal out of it. Now tomorrow i get to put it all back together with new wheel studs and seals. Why do these things happen right before a big event...

well i got my rear end back together and made it to Truck fest on saturday. Everything went pretty good all the way there and back except for gas consumption. Got to meet another board member there. sorry no pics from the show

realized i havent updated this in a long time. Well I ended up putting the buildl up of this truck on hold for a while because i had to drive it daily this past winter and part of spring and then its been sitting since. I have done some more work to the body though. and i added a set of 15x10 aluminum slots.

Thanks. The satin black on the bed is what the final color will be. The black on the door and fender is just black high build primer. The original plan was to paint it gloss black. I even had the paint but last winter i decided to repaint my Bagged Sonoma so i used the paint i had bought for this truck on that one.
