windshield rubber question??? HELP
I am about to install new windshield glass and back glass in a frameoff truck. I plan to install the deluxe package in my 69 truck.
The glass guy tells me to make sure the rubber has a GM approved stamp on it. He says most of that rubber is made in Brazil. Does anyone know who sells this correct rubber? |

No I don't, but I've installed two windshields with repro gaskets from Manes Truck Parts and haven't had any problems.... LockDoc

Re: windshield rubber question??? HELP
Just make sure that the glass shop orders the correct seal. The seal for the custom truck is 67-70 and there is a different seal for the custom 71-72. The differenece is that the channel for the 71-72 is more shallow than the one for the 67-70 truck. I know that all to well. The glass shop was sure that they had the right seal, until they got there to install it. I had to order it myself to make sure I got the right one.
Good luck.. |
