What wheels would you go with?

Hey Guys and Gals, I am thinking about a set of Centerline Smoothies What do you all think? Would you go 20s, 22s, or stagger them? I am open for any ideals and want to hear which wheel you all like. We are getting ready to bag it in the next few days.

Re: What wheels would you go with?

For me it depends on the wheels. With the smoothies I believe I would go with a 20/22 combo. I personally like a wider wheel and tire in the back. If money is an issue, a combo such as 20X8.5 and 20X10 looks really good as well.

Re: What wheels would you go with?

The gray center torque thrust and 200S have really grown on me. Gray center Coys aren't bad either although offsets are more limited. With that burb, as long as you stay away from anything that looks like it should belong on some thugs ghetto cruiser (and unpopular by next year) you'll be fine. The rallies aren't even that bad on it. If it was mine I would want something that was an era correct style with an increase in diameter.

So.......I haven't really told you anything have I?

I vote grey spoke American's. 20x8 and 20x10! Hey Tim,... have you ever tried matching faded paint? Like if you were going to paint the hood, cowl, and fender tops on your burb. Just wondered if it was possible to duplicate the "patina".

Re: What wheels would you go with?

I do really like the Coy C5's grey (such as gringoloco) wheels. At this point in time, I am planning on running a set of these on my truck. I feel the grey center's with a polished lip would really set the truck off right. I can't wait to see that thing bagged!

Hey Tim, what bag setup are you going to run on the burb?

Re: What wheels would you go with?

I would go with either 18/ 20's or 20/22's with the Centerline smoothies. I am planning on running the same wheels only I am planning on painting the centers black.

So with that being said, I may be just a touch biased.

Re: What wheels would you go with?

I am really confused on the wheels right now going to have to give it some thought. I am sort of leaning toward 18s and 20s in the Gray center Coys I have to make up my mine soon we are planing on bringing it and our other three trucks to Maggie Valley Truckin Nationals

lolife99, We are not going to paint the hood and fenders I actually like it with that look but we are going to repair all the lower rust and try to match the faded paint along the bottom.

72BlckButy, We are going to run Air ride Tech set up front and rear.

Re: What wheels would you go with?

Grey center Coys or Torq Thrusts would look awesome on that burb!
The grey 200S wpould great too. I agree on keeping some kind of period correct wheel on there.

My vote is for the 22" Centerlines. It gives it a nice "old but new school" look.

I may be partial, but 17" Torq-thrust originals look pretty nice too

I wish they made the TTO's in a 17 X 9.5's. To my knowledge the biggest they make is a 17 X 8.

Re: What wheels would you go with?

In think the staggered look is good with 20's and 22's but if you're not going that big just go 20's all around. Coy's C5 or TTT's are nice, but my vote would be for Coy's C57:

I think these Foose in 20/22" would look sweet under there

I also like the Boyd Junk Yard Dog wheels with grey centers too, I am partial to the grey centers though...
