Re: What to do with people who disrespect your truck

just put in in a trash bag and set it on his step, day after day he will get the hint. use a bag of a contrasting color to the background so it shows up and always looks like trash on his steps he should get the hint and you are only returning his $#!+

Re: What to do with people who disrespect your truck

I parked my truck outside the autobody shop at my old high school, you know show the old teach what I've done, let the younger guys see what happens with hard work. Anyways, I'm helping a guy cut a bracket and then walk out to my truck and there's four guys with my hood open.

Now, this is a nice truck (see pic) and I ask, why is my hood open.

H-"Oh, I opened it"
Me-"Is it your pickup"
H-"No, but I opened it"
Me-"Did you spend three years wages and time fixing it?"
H-"Ummmmmmmmmmmmm...."
Me-"So where is your rig parked?"
H-"Oh, it's over there, but I don't care about it."
Me-"So I should take a sledge and smash your hood so it won't open?"
H-"No, that wouldn't be nice, my dad paid for it."
Me-"I don't touch your hood, and I know you won't touch mine."

Sometimes I wish I was a swearing kind of guy.

Oh, the guys I used to work with also threw 30+ beer cans in the bed one friday (I was 17) and my dad had something to say about that, but it was in fun, not because it was an old truck.

If he keeps throwing trash, I agree to throw it in/on his car, but not trashing it. Simple, not exactly illegal, and gets the point across.

I agree with wibilly.I hate it when then they say it's just an old truck.True but you are not a garbage man.Someone has to get rid of it.Give it back to him.

Like i said....whip his ass...at all costs....sounds like he was a bully in school....it takes a while to teach a bully....talking wont help and or any other kind of non forcefull action...whip his ass and as you are beating him...continue to ask him if he is going to put anything else in your truck....he will get your message one way or the other.........

Clearly he considers his trash too "trashy" for his vehicle. He didn't mind asking you to haul something for him that he couldn't.

I'd wait until I was wearing something nasty, greasy, smelly, etc., then ask him for a ride when he couldn't possibly refuse to help....considering the help you've given to him. Put a guilt trip on him. Make sure he's in the Benz, then climb in.

I thought that when someone mentioned the wal mart bag. The problem with that is...he would be bugging me to fix his car. But then again...I could do that have his car towed to my shop.....pull the potato out and charge him $400.00. That would be one months rent!

I was thinking the same thing....If he's disrepecting your property, he's disrespecting you. I say if you have any more problems after giving him the message yesterday, it's time for an ass whippin'.

Re: What to do with people who disrespect your truck

He is the landlord, but that is all he is. From that point he is a human idiot pushing the limit and by that right is expecting the limit to be pushed back. He is not dumb, but he will act like he is. Meet with him in the yard and tell him direct (without a smile) that you are done with the kid's stuff and you want to know what is required to get him to quit. Then (once again; without a smile) tell him that you are willing to go to whatever level he wants to. He is the guy that owns the property you are standing on and by legal rights you will lose. Don't threaten him, just make a solid promise (as a matter of fact, use that word PROMISE, because a promise is NOT a threat)(still without a smile) that you will give as good as received.

Re: What to do with people who disrespect your truck

I had thought about scaring the crap out of him. But I calmed down quite a bit. My second thought was pull out my gun...eject a shell out of it and hand him the shell and tell him the next one he wont see. But like I said I calmed down. I said my piece to him and I wont park my truck at home now. It stays at my g/f's house now...so will my 69 step when it gets here.

Re: What to do with people who disrespect your truck

Since he is the landlord notify him with registered mail that you will be deducting the expense of removing trash placed in your truck on his property from the rent. Haul it to a landfill send him copies of the receipts instead of rent money. By hauling the stuff off you are providing a valuable service. He should expect to pay. Make sure he has received the letter before you start holding rent money back. If you want to use this be sure to make sure your rental agreement doesn't prevent it!

So what is your solution? You have posted twice on how you can't win against the guy. Are you suggesting that he should keep allowing it to happen? I'm just curious.

Re: What to do with people who disrespect your truck

Ever seen that episode of Mythbusters where they did some car myths. They did the sugar in the gas tank but it didn't seem to do anything, then they tried some bleach in the tank and left it overnight, next morning that tank had rust inside of it. They did the potato in the exhaust pipe too but all it did was blow the potato right back out. I wouldn't do that though, maybe a sign in the window that says, "MY TRUCK IS NOT A DUMPSTER!"

A magnesium flare on the hood will burn all the way down through the engine...

Re: What to do with people who disrespect your truck

ive been through this kind of crap with neighbors, co-workers, hell even my good friends. it sucks, but usually it works out best just to go out of your way a little bit and not give them an opportunity to mess with you. you cant win a fight like this against someone with nothing to loose.

one of my neighbors is always on may ass to keep quiet in my garage... even at 1:00 pm on a saturday he will ***** about me having my air compressor on, or about how loud my truck or car is, even with all stock exaust. this guy has nothing to loose, i could fight him, or tell him to f#$k off but it will get me nowhere, he will mess with my garage, my truck or cars or somthing, so i just deal with it. it kind of seems like a panzy thing to do but ive been down this road before and i dont like dealing with cops or paying fines

nomater where you go, or who you have a probleom with you have to think about how it could effect you

Re: What to do with people who disrespect your truck

I heard this from my step dad:

Boil broccoli and put it in a gallon size trash bag. Then put it in the freezer. Next hide it in his car with the bag open and I can guarantee in a couple of days in the hot weather, his car will smell like the dump.

Re: What to do with people who disrespect your truck

I don't care what anyone on here says, keep anything you do within the law! It would be nice to feed the pos to the nearest hog farm. That isn't a realistic way to solve your problem. Ignore the bs, stay legal and find ways to use the law against the a$$hole! If he is using your truck to dispose of municipal sold waste then you should be able to use that against him. research other laws! In this country today it is impossible to comply with every law there is. Find where he doesn't comply and use it against him! Just following that he will wave a white flag!
