LED,s?
Installed a set of LED tail lights in my 69 fleetside today, now I have no turn signals what is the deal?

You may need an electronic flasher. They cost around $8 and any auto parts store.

The electronic flasher may the same size as the 4-way flasher. There are 2 and 3-prong flashers. If you ask for an electronic flasher for your turn signals, you'll get the right one.
Just be glad you don't have to add resistance in parallel to the bulb, like I did on my '96. All I had to do with my '69, is simply replace the stock flasher with the electronic one. Flashes trailer lights, too.

The LED's don't use any amperage so the mechanical flasher does not recognize the LED's hence replacing with an electronic flasher which sees voltage instead of amperage

Mine have always worked with the headlights off but asss soon as you pull the headlight switch out all the way the blinkers stop flashing.....still have have not figured it out..

You guys need an EL-12 flasher. I run almost 750 LED's on my truck with no problems using this electronic flasher.
