68 grille question

im just about ready to paint my truck. i need to know if the line where the fenders meet grille at the top and bottom on 67-68 trucks is filled or just left as a (cack)

There's a seam at the top and the bottom where they bolt together. Unless its welded I think I'd avoid filling the seam because of the flexing, plus if you ever get it stove in, it'd be a lot easier to change out.
