Parchment, Working and just cool
First pic - original parchment colored door panel - looks like a gray/white (not the yellowish tint that all the rest of the parchment stuff is) the "done" arm rest and the original color/condition arm rest.
Second pic- door panel now matches the arm rest too Third pic - made her work a little Fourth pic - I just think it looks cool. Kinda like a prize fighter with a little scar next to her eye.

Re: Parchment, Working and just cool
Two weeks later and I can update - I got the panels and visors in. All match colorwise now. I have the parchment belts ready to put in but need to get trim for the headliner. I couldn't wait any longer, I wanted the stuff in. Debating matching up the column and wheel (wrapped to keep dirt off it) - not sure what to do on the dash pad - clean/strip/paint to match everything or ???? I think it's the only way I'll get the light yellow color I'm looking for.
Also got my radio knobs replaced. Not bad for a day with a 2 year old and her dad.... I'm EXHAUSTED- just 2 more days before momma gets home....

Re: Parchment, Working and just cool
Well, I was right proud until I just saw bananza's interior pics.... I think we're going to stick to finger painting....

Looks good. What kind of dye did you use to cover it with?

Re: Parchment, Working and just cool
krylon antique white - sanded with handfulls of real sand, degreaser'd the heck out of 'em and sprayed away. They were just old parchments but in sad shape. They all look grey and just don't match. They do now!

Re: Parchment, Working and just cool
I would do the dash pad, column, wheel, and carpet in black, with flat black on top of the dash, and then a white seat. (that's one of the ways it woulda come stock)

Re: Parchment, Working and just cool
LM - I believe that'll be the plan - I hadn't thought of that scheme but it sounds cool! Would the defrost vents be flat also?
Thanks 327 - beats the ol' gray color on them and really beat the metal flake blue replacements the PO had in there

Re: Parchment, Working and just cool
they would be gloss... but personally, I'd spray them flat or semi flat. I hate reflections in the windshield.
