Front End Opinions Please
I'm Getting ready to paint my truck and I'm considering maybe adding something to the front of my truck, my options are a billet grille or maybe painting the inner grille to match the truck. any input on which would look better? or should i just leave it the way it is? oh yea I might even lose that big fancy air freshner too lol

Re: Front End Opinions Please
no billet. no painted grille. just add outer bumper bolts and call it good.

Re: Front End Opinions Please
If you must paint the grill, I would do a flat black, or dark charcoal...clear parking lights are cool... but other than that it looks real nice... why are you painting the truck?

Yes! Clear park lights!
I even like the air freshener...now find vanilla in blue. Great looking truck!! Hope you keep the color; looks like medium blue poly from '68...my personal favorite! Last edited by ETsC10; 03-05-2008 at 07:45 AM. |

Re: Front End Opinions Please
I like it the way it is. Previous owner of my 71 did the all black route up front. Now I have to change it all back like yours so it will have the classic good looks again.
Clear parking lights are for ricers, blech...Sorry Ellen |

Re: Front End Opinions Please
I think it looks great the way it is... I'd leave it. If you had to change it, I would go black but, then again. I'm a little biased.

Re: Front End Opinions Please
retselgerg; It ain't broke, so don't fix it You got a NICE truck. Just keep as is and roll on down the road.
Of course, I'm not into the whole Bling-Clear this or Bling-Clear that. I'm just into CLEAN looking trucks. Nice and clean truck. Just please try not to go GHETTO

Re: Front End Opinions Please
Looks great as-is. I like the blacked out grille look, it reminds me of the 67-69 Camaro.
Whatever you do DO NOT chop the top. Choptops are fuggin ugly

Re: Front End Opinions Please
It does look very nice the way it is!! Flat black to match the headlight surrounds looks awesome on C10-Driver's ride too. Deleting the bowtie would be a toss up. Clear markers would look nice because they'd blend into the bumper & not be so obvious. The bumper bolts are a detail that it really needs.
Agree on the color - hope you keep it because it's very striking & a clean look.

Re: Front End Opinions Please
Great photo shop by the way....Yea i was leaning towards the painted version but i think i will leave it as is, I suppose the late model stepside will differ the truck enough....so i guess the classic looking front end will keep the truck balanced
