Here is my bearing support the metal cup over the rubber looks like it has been trimmed back for some reason. I really need a replacement.

And it isn't even American made

The rear view shows the cup intact but it spins around and rattles, is this normal?

Classic Industries replacements, but how do you fit them? the fitting seems to face the wrong way running inline with the drive shaft rather than as the original which is accross the shaft

Any ideas or opinions on the replacements and the condition of mine?

you need the horseshoe type.

I bought one at Advance Auto Parts, Autozone also had them.

I really don't see a problem, but then again, the problem could be hidden within. Is the bearing screeching? Is the deflector flange "riding" or "scraping" on the carrier housing? (It is hard to tell from your camera angles)

Most any auto parts dealer will have them in stock, as that these bearing supports are used in a wide range of trucks over the years.

These are the brands and part numbers that is commonly used for stock replacements.
SKF: HB88107A
NATIONAL: HB88107A
ANCHOR: 6056
GMB: 2701001

I replaced mine just last year. The bearing was still in super condition, the weathered and cracked rubber isolator was my problem.

Yeah the deflector flange is my problem its loose and spinning around, and on this side were the made in india sticker is the flange seems to have been trimmed back as its got a ragged edge and does'nt cover the rubber like the loose one on the oposite side does.

Looks like it has been replaced recently, I bet that the bearing unit was installed without the spacer ring, so the flange may have been trimmed to compensate.

take the ring off, all it does is keep the dirt in.
