Re: 20 gauge mig wire
Maybe its my poor welding technique, or complete lack of technique, but I didn't have much luck with it. I've had better luck with thinner wire.
I have a big and small roll. Both look unused, but I'm sure there's a few feet off one or the other. Last edited by 72lb4x4; 04-03-2008 at 07:35 AM. |

Re: 20 gauge mig wire
20 gauge is .030, iirc. Try HTP

Re: 20 gauge mig wire
No, 20 gauge is a jw harris product which uses a powdered metal core which works kind of like spray welding at lower amps for thin sheet metal. It definitely works better than regular wire for this purpose.I have used it for several years, but it seems to have disappeared even though the harris website still shows it.Anyone who happens to see or hear of any left please contact me so I can stock up.
THanks to all for help! |
